Who Are the True Israelite Christians Today?

The Israel of God • The Mixed Multitude • The Church**

The question of “Who are the true Israelite Christians today?” is one of the most important and misunderstood topics in Scripture. To answer it correctly, we must look at how the Bible identifies God’s people in three connected categories:

1. The Israel of God (Galatians 6:16)

The “Israel of God” refers to the covenant people of the Most High—the descendants of biblical Israel who keep the faith of Christ and walk in obedience.

These are:

  • Those who come from the bloodline of Israel

  • Those who accept Yahshua/Jesus as Messiah

  • Those who keep God’s commandments and live by the Spirit

The Israel of God is not defined by religion, but by covenant identity joined with faith in Christ.

They are the people the prophets spoke about, the people God chastened, scattered, and promised to restore.

2. The Mixed Multitude (Exodus 12:38)

The “mixed multitude” is a crucial part of Israel’s story.

In the Exodus, not only Israelites left Egypt—many non-Israelites also joined themselves to the Lord. God allowed them in on one condition:

“One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger.”
Exodus 12:49

This means:

  • Anyone who follows the God of Israel

  • Keeps His laws

  • And lives under His covenant

  • Becomes part of the community

In the New Testament, Paul teaches the same thing:

Gentiles who join Christ are grafted into the olive tree of Israel (Romans 11)

So today, the mixed multitude refers to those from all nations who cling to the God of Israel and walk in His ways through Christ.

3. The Church (Ekklesia)

The word “church” in Scripture doesn’t mean a building or a denomination—it means:

“The called-out assembly.”

The early church was:

  • Israelites who followed Christ

  • PLUS believing Gentiles who joined the covenant

  • Together forming one united body

Christ didn’t create a new religion—
He restored Israel and opened the door for all nations to join the covenant blessings.

The true Church is therefore:

  • Israel + the mixed multitude

  • United under Christ the Messiah

  • Keeping God’s Word and His commandments

  • Living by faith and righteousness

So Who Are the True Israelite Christians Today?

They are:

1. Bloodline Israelites

who believe in Christ and keep the commandments.

2. The Mixed Multitude

Gentiles from every nation who join the covenant through Christ.

3. The True Church

The united body of believers walking in Spirit and Truth—not a denomination, but a people.
